Frozen gear typically puts a smile on every Elsa and Olaf fan's face, but no one's reaction has been quite like Karissa Mitchell's.

Just moments after completing the third grade, this 9-year-old little girl was surprised with a custom Frozen-themed prosthesis. While Karissa was born without her right hand and wrist, she finally feels like she has an arm thanks to some talented students with an impressive dream.

A group of students at Siena College in New York spent six months developing Karissa's prosthetic hand and used a 3D printer for the final product. While functionality was essential to the final design, the students didn't overlook style and created an ice blue arm complete with a removable Olaf light. "Karissa really identifies with Elsa because she knows what it's like to be different from everyone else," her mom, Maria Mitchell, explained in a press release from the school. "She doesn't want to be seen as different, which has made her extremely determined to do things as well, if not better, than others."

Karissa's mom first reached out to Siena's e-NABLE chapter after she learned that this group volunteers to help the community and had recently created an Iron Man-themed prosthetic hand for a deserving little boy. Karissa received her magical gift during a press event and her reaction would melt even the coldest of hearts.
